New Directors/New Films fest to host 'Gaze'

The Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA) is scheduled to screen Iranian short film 'Gaze'.

Directed by Farnoush Samadi, the flick will be screened at the 47th New Directors/New Films Festival held by MoMA.

Written by Ali Asgari and directed by Samadi, the flick has so far represented Iran at a number of globally acclaimed film festivals, including the 70th edition of the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland and the 34th edition of the Tehran Short Film Festival in Iran.

The short film depicts the story of a woman who on her way back home learns about an incident on the bus. She is undecided whether to reveal the issue or not.

Each year New Directors/New Films unveils a brand-new lineup of fresh faces on the filmmaking scene.

The 47th edition of the event is slated for March 28-April 8, 2018.
